Q1. Who is this course suitable for?
A1. This course is suitable for designers, including architects, graphic designers, interaction designer, social media marketing designers, educators etc who want to expand their skillset and learn how to create virtual experiences within the Metaverse using 3D modeling, kit bashing, and generative AI techniques.

Q2. What prerequisites are needed for taking the Workshop?
A2. Basic knowledge of computers in general is recommended but not mandatory. All necessary tools and platforms will be introduced during the Workshop.

Q3. Will I receive a certificate upon completion of the Workshop?
A3. Yes, even though this is a non-credit Workshop, a certificate upon completion will be provided.

Q4. Which tools will I learn in this Workshop?
A4. During the workshop, you will learn how to use various tools including Vectary, Spatial.IO, Bezi, Sketchfab, Playground AI/Leonardo AI, ChatGPT/Hugging Chat, Canva, Luma AI/Tripo 3D and Google Collab. But, the workshop is not about these tools, and hence extensively won’t cover the toolset, or tutorials. The tools will be taught to the extent so that you can design a Metaverse.

Q5. How long is the Workshop duration?
A5. The Workshop is 03 hours long scheduled on 1st June. There will be 01 hour of deliverables and 02 hours of hands-on under supervision.

Q6. What is the mode of delivery?
A6. The workshop will take place simultaneously on Google Meet and Metaverse. All the required links and instructions will be sent to you once the payment is done. If you can’t find it, try looking in the Spam folder and if that doesn’t work, send me your invoice at preyanmehta.edu@gmail.com and we’ll sort it out.

Q7. What kind of projects will we be working on during the course?
A7. Throughout the course, you will work on converting your idea into a functional virtual experience within the Metaverse without using Unity (a gaming engine). By the end of the workshop, you will have created your own unique Metaverse experience.

Q8. Does this Workshop cover Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technology used in creating Metaverses?
A8. VR, AR and Desktop Metaverse experiences will be covered, alongside their respective tools. Having Oculus is a Plus, but NOT a requirement.

Q9. Are we going to use any AI tools?
A9. Yes, AI tools including Playground AI/Leonardo AI, ChatGPT/Hugging Chat, and Luma AI/Tripo 3D, will be taught to generate and design quickly.

Q10. Is this Workshop all in one Metaverse Design course?
A10. Absolutely not! Sorry to say, but you cannot master Metaverse in 12 hours. This Workshop is for Beginners towards designing a Metaverse experience, using exclusively the platforms Spatial IO and Bezi. You’ll not learn how to create Metaverse spaces for Sandbox or Decentraland. Gaming engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine will also not be taught.
